Quality & Tradition
Founded at the beginning of the 20th century out of a great passion for good wine, the Marco Calosi Agricultural Company has been passed down through generations, never losing the love and enthusiasm of its founder.
Today, it is a family-run winery, entirely managed by the experienced hands of the grandson Marco Calosi. With constant commitment and passion, he has refined over time the work to produce high-quality IGP Rosso Toscano wines, thanks to his vineyards in the beautiful area of Greve in Chianti, a hilly region ideal for wine production.
The land where the vines are planted is mainly made up of tuff. These are surrounded by small forests of large oaks, broom plants, and a significant variety of flowers that enhance and elevate the aromas found in the wine.
ONLY FROM THE BEST GRAPES
Each bottle of Bonille is made from grapes handpicked and selected with particular attention to ripeness.
Fermentation takes place naturally in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, located in the small underground cellar of the company.
The love and respect for the land (cultivation is carried out without the use of herbicides and chemical pesticides) are reflected in every glass of Bonille, whose production – almost exclusively from Sangiovese grapes – is divided into two types of wine: an IGP Red label (fresh, pleasant, to be consumed within a few years, distinguished by good vivacity and drinkability) and an IGP RISERVA Blue label (fuller-bodied and more structured, yet harmonious and intense, with notes of spices and tannic returns, undergoing a longer and more complex aging process).
Ideal for well-structured dishes based on red meats, game, mushrooms, and truffles, Bonille is also highly suitable to pair with cheeses.
